BLCU at a glance
BLCU is known as the Mini-United Nations, it is the only university of its kind in China that specializes in offering Chinese language and culture courses to foreign students. Meanwhile, BLCU provides professional courses in various fields, such as foreign languages, Chinese language, information science, economics, arts, psychology, pedagogy, linguistics and other majors to Chinese students. In addition, BLCU shoulders the responsibilities of training Chinese teachers and supplies language courses designed for those who plan to study abroad. Over 50 years of development has made BLCU a multidisciplinary university that featured in language and culture education and research, a significant academic center for Chinese and foreign language and culture studies, and the cradle for advanced international talents in China.

Course Characteristics
◆“Chinese + vocational skills” (Cooperate with vocational colleges and enterprises)
◆ Application of Chinese intensive training education (Four weeks to one year short-term application of intensive training Chinese)
Teaching Philosophy:
The integration of language and national culture learning; Integration of language learning and professional learning; Integration of language learning and vocational skill training; Integration of knowledge learning and practical experience; The integration of traditional teaching pattern and intelligent teaching; Off-line teaching is integrated with on-line teaching.
Multi-activity:
In order to assist international students in learning Chinese, understand China’s actual conditions and culture, and get close contact with Chinese society, the College organizes international students to implement language practice activities and colorful cultural experience activities such as exchange with Chinese students, visiting places of interest and historical sites, visiting factories and enterprises, etc.

Notes
- Textbooks are included in the tuition. Before classes start, there will be a placement test. Students will be placed into appropriate classes based on their current Chinese proficiency levels.
- All programs Include free tours of famous Beijing landmarks such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace.
- Series of courses, such as Chinese and Chinese Culture, can be offered according to the needs of groups and individuals on flexible time. The curriculum can be customized and enriched with a variety of practical activities and researches. Consultations are welcome.
- No classes on holidays.
